I have been single all my life, i am not what people look for in a partner.
I am so lonely, i feel so unloveable, i don’t know how to help myself.

This is so sad @idontknowwhyiamasking. You are as valuable and loveable as the next person. But you need to love yourself. Find things that make you happy and do them. Make the most of yourself by nurturing yourself with healthy food, some simple exercises, treats for your physical body like moisturiser, hair treatments. Every time you look after yourself a little bit you are saying 'I am loveable. I am valuable'
There are many single people out there. And not everyone in a relationship is happy. You need to find the joy in what you have, right now, however small that might be. Hugs to you 🤗

What makes you think you’re not what people look for? Also how old are you OP?

Beeleave · 27/08/2021 18:36

I know not very Mumsnet but sending you a hug. I am sure you are loveable

Lolabray · 27/08/2021 18:38

I’m 46 and recently single thinking and feeling the same but you know what we are born alone and we die alone so be your own best friend. You don’t need a partner x

I very firmly believe there is a boot (and in fact slipper, sandal, clog, stilleto, flip flop etc..) for every foot. I cannot for a moment believe there is no one out there who would suit you (unless you are Jack the Ripper??)

I’m an antisocial, introverted, autistic, over weight, single parent cow bag and I have found a boyfriend to suit me. He’s an overweight, anxiety ridden, commitment-phone. We match nicely.

You need to know yourself, understand what you want (and what you don’t) and then go look for I’m the right shoe for you. Join clubs, do OLD, put yourself out there and don’t settle for a shoe that’s too short or too wide for YOUR foot.

I bet you are lovely Flowers

Have a read through of this OP;

www.betterrelationships.org.au/well-being/core-beliefs-self-acceptance/

It will get you started on understanding why you think the way you do and, crucially, how it can be changed. You may well need counselling to help you but you CAN change your life.

StarryStarrySocks · 27/08/2021 19:12

Better to die alone than be with some of the shitty partners people post about on here!

I’m mid 30’s. I’m ugly, i have a lot of mental health issues (i am in therapy for them) etc. But the biggest problem is that i don’t want to have sex, ever. I have signed up for the one asexual (i don’t know if i am one, but at least i wouldn’t have to worry about the sex) but there were about seven people there.

You're not ugly. And there are more asexual people around than you think, honestly.
