So whilst on the pill, I worried that I was pregnant a few months ago. I did several tests which came back negative. I continued with the pill but noticed I was getting symptoms so I stopped the pill 3/4 weeks ago. I did a pregnancy test yesterday and it looks like it's positive.

Do you think this is positive or negative?

It looks positive to me. I’d do another test and then book into see the GP. How do you feel about the possibility of being pregnant?

I don't feel it's the right time for me to be pregnant. My husband and I are not on good terms and we are on the verge of splitting.

Yeah would take that as a pregnant.

If you aren't getting on well how long ago did you get pregnant? Possibly?

frozendaisy · 18/08/2021 16:59

Get a first response pink test they are quite clear!

Stargazermummy · 18/08/2021 17:43

Probably about 4 -5 months! I'm getting movement in my stomach but 6 pregnancy tests have been negative til now.

Oh my stargazer....that's really odd.
Do another different make.
Emergency GP appointment ......

Lolabray · 18/08/2021 19:03

Positive but very faint, I’d say you’re very early on. I did 7 tests with my second son and all were negative until I did a similar clear blue one

Stargazermummy · 18/08/2021 20:03

So I did another test and this one seems much more pronounced. I'm really worried as I continued taking the pill and I could be quite far gone.

Well when was the last time you had sex.... could be an indication of how early you may be? Specially if you stopped the pill 3-4 weeks ago op

Definitely positive though x

It was in April, which could make me around 20ish weeks. The GP told me it was normal for my periods to stop given the brand of pill I use. She just told me to carry on doing pregnancy tests and wait for my periods to return within 3 months of stopping the pill.
I have so many mixed feelings.

I think if you were 20 weeks you’d show and feel the baby ? Also the line should be a lot stronger.

Stargazermummy · 18/08/2021 20:51

My stomach is protruding a little, hence my appointment with GP but she wasn't really that bothered. Staff member at sons nursery asked me if I was pregnant 2 weeks ago. My manager has been glancing at my stomach alot. This is why I kept doing pregnancy tests. And I agree, line should be alot stronger. This is why I'm so confused!

I would say that's negative. Sometimes this happens with the false positive . If too much urine goes in it especially if you peed on it instead of dipping it . And if it's left too long . Also if you were 20 plus weeks that would be so dark . X

Lolabray · 19/08/2021 14:51

I’d leave it a few weeks and do another test .. I was sure it didn’t show as + unless you had the pregnancy ‘hormones’ in your body?

Pinkbonbon · 19/08/2021 15:07

If you leave them too long they all turn positive. But if its showing you a faint line after a few mins then...probably pregnant. Tests occasionally show false negatives but only rarely di they show false positives. Go to your gp and get a proper test.
