Flirtations?

6 replies

oldfash · 29/11/2007 18:39

I am married 24yrs (together 27) with 3 children. My dh has had affairs been a bully and aggressive. But through it all we have stuck it out. I have only had one other serious relationship which lasted for 6monts when i was 19.
But a (male) colleague at work is becoming more of a friend, and to be honest I fancy him like mad, and have been flirting which has been recipriocated
What is up with me? Is it my age? hormones?

Nothing wrong with flirting at all. I think from your comment about your DH having affairs you are hoping we will say you should 'go for it' and start an affair with your colleague. Only you can decide on that one.

If you are really unhappy with your DH then tell him about this other guy & that he is interested and see what his reaction is. I always tell my DH if I fancy someone .

Oh, jingly I'm not asking permission! No I'm to scared to go any further, but could it be an age thing?

Not an age thing. I'm a young woman, happily married with a child, but I enjoy flirting and admit to being quite a flirtatious person when it comes to my (attractive) male friends and acquaintances. If it's just a bit of fun, fine. If you think either of you will be tempted to take it any further, then you need to ask yourself some serious questions.

What's up with you?

I think you answered your own question before you asked it.

You husband has had affairs, is a bully and aggressive. You've stuck it out. You've only ever had one other relationship.

It's not your age and it's not your hormones.

IMO, it's your husband.

No, don't think that would happen as he said he doesn't want to commit to another relationship when he is in the middle of a divorce!!{WHILE WE BOTH KNOW I'M MARRIED}
It is fun, and I am enjoying having a bit of a joke and a laugh. We have a similar sense of humour and feel the same about things but at the same time I do feel naughty!

You've endured a lifetime of living with a louse. You deserve a bit of fun and happiness, by the sounds of it.

If I were you, I'd do whatever I felt like doing ....
