Wedding prep help

I'm getting married next week and I can't help but stress that I haven't thought of everything I need to do.

I want to prep as much as possible so I have little to worry about on the day.

We have table decorations made ourselves, a DJ, lighting etc.

Can you tell me something you wish you remembered

Or something that you are so thankful you did?

I'm the first to marry out of my friends so I have little experience in attending weddings

Write a list of any photos it is important to you, that you have.

You don't want to look back later and find Grandpa or your Godmother / Aunty Jane wasn't on any photos.
I would both make sure your photographer has a list, plus someone such as an usher, so they go around collecting people ready for the next photo ..... it makes the time spent on photos much less and ensures you don't look back and find people missing.

Obviously not sure about where you plan to have your photos, or if you are transferring from one building to another , but umbrellas ? Hopefully not needed but you'll be glad you thought of them, if they are.

Again, depends on your venue, but have you got someone who will ensure any presents / cards are put somewhere safe when you 've left at the end of the evening ?

Brilliant idea for the photographer. I'll add that to my "to do" list! We don't have much family it's mainly friends so will have to get some ideas on how to group people.

Umbrellas are provided by the venue if it's raining. And I'm already checking the weather app!

We have a card box thing. I suppose I haven't thought much about it though. We are getting married in one barn and then a short walk across a yard to a second barn for the reception. Would I put the box in the small barn?

Don’t forget to eat on the day, maybe put a helpful bridesmaid on duty for making sure you both get some of all food & drink planned - you’ll be so busy talking to people and doing photos etc you might miss out otherwise!

Okay….if you are having - flowers, wedding cake, marriage celebrant,
transport to the venue, hairdresser, makeup artist, comfortable shoes, marriage license, alcohol/soft/fruit drinks, caterers, your outfit and any jewellery, wedding rings, photographer or videographer as mentioned by Kite22. Check yr wedding attendants are all set and know how the days going to run. Speeches, gifts for bridesmaids etc if you’re having them. Check them all. Sure I’ve forgotten things, but here’s wishing you the most marvellous day and a lifetime of happiness together. Good luck!
