The silent treatment?

Why? I've spent yet another day and evening being given the silent treatment. We have older teens so I've cooked and he has done his normal thing but, all in silence towards me. I'm in one room he in another.

He had the huff last night, lots of chatter in the house, over talking - which he hates but teens tend to do and I can keep up. We went to bed, he stayed up.
I woke at 4 am and wandered down to grab a water, he is still up in the lounge. I asked if he was coming up - no.
Haven't talked since, I'm assuming he has been up all night (not normal for a 50yr old)

I actually don't mind the silence, I'm happy with myself, it's not very constructive for our marriage though, is it?

I don't think I could live with that. Its sulky teenager behaviour.

Hes punishing you. Couldn't be with someone like this.
What is the relationship like the rest of the time?

Ugh I couldn't cope with this. Talk about your problems or stay out my way!

Just say "hey knobhead your such a knobhead now you've got something to be pissed off about"

Relationship is fine ish, no screaming, no loud voices, silence seems to work well, for him.

It's weird, as I said, I can put up with it, it's better than a screaming match or punching walls but, there is a part of me that just can't understand it.

I've had a very pleasant day and evening in our lovely house, cooking, day off work, in silence.

Odd
