I feel so stupid & annoyed at myself!

So met a guy 4 weeks ago OLD, we met last week and were supposed to go out tonight!
He hasn't turned up!
I'm absolutely fuming, first guy I've really been arsed to chat to in the last 4 years!
He has now blocked me, I didn't even message him as noticed he had blocked me so can't see the point in wasting my time! I'm fuming with myself for getting dragged along in the chat & a bit of excitement!
Please tell me I'm not the only one who has felt like this.
I can't tell anyone in RL as they will probs think I'm stupid. OLD is shit!

Ugh. Had that happen to me once on a first date. I got to the location and went on to message I was there and his profile had vanished. I was so pissed off that I did a Facebook search. I only had his first name and where he used to work but it brought him up. And - he had a gf! I'm guessing he had been looking to get a leg over whilst she was away for the holidays (it was christmas time). Dropped her a little message with a heads up. Never heard back but I hope she gave the fucker the boot.

Recon he probably found someone that was more up for sex op. I wouldnt necessarily judge people for that but the least they could friggin do is have the decency to message. Some people are just selfish, self absorbed fuckers.

Dont take it personally. You should still go out to your local and see if there are any hotties about!

Well, he’s a dickhead. The only good thing you can do here is maybe look back and see if there were any little red flags that you can use to fine-tune your twat radar for future encounters. It does put you off though doesn’t it!

Don't be put off. With OLD It's like learning to ride a bike. You will get idiots but you need to just get straight back on again and move on to the next fish.

What about people who have longer relationships, months, and then get ghosted? Would you tell them that they were stupid?

I think that perhaps you could cut yourself some slack? It's not your fault he's a git. And if anything, when you're feeling let down, and probably exhausted from being nervous, what you really need is someone (ie you) to be really gentle with you and give you some little treats, isn't it? Take away, film, glass of wine, chocolate, bath, early night etc?

There is a lesson there, and if you've learnt it, a) you're not stupid and b) that's what purpose he has served for you. He's taught you that lesson. He's been mighty useful, actually. Some people never learn that lesson.

Thanks I realise I'm not the only person who has been through this and I'm sure it's also down to ladies doing as well! Just hurts initially!
But today I've smashed the gym, curled my hair bought some fizz and I'm having a good afternoon not stressing that I did anything!
