Really taking aback by work colleagues behaviour

Hi, I work with this guy whom I get alone well with. Untill last week. He is normally a dark sense of humour type of person and goes below the belt alot. But he is quite disrespectful towards his girlfriend. He argues a lot with her. Will moan about it and call her the C word and a knob head.
He refers to her as my bird.

This is only some of the stuff we have to endure listening to him. He has her doing every thing but then speaks so disrespectful. He's always texting women behind her back and has probably cheated on her.

I called him out last week and said Jesus you have no respect for your gf at all. He got made and said yes I do. Told me to keep out of it.
I said don't call her names then it's so disrespectful. If you don't want people to have an view on it don't call her.

He wasn't happy.

He implied I was uptight or stuck up but I've never known any one be like that. Even at really bad times in my relationship I have confided in friends but never been so disrespectful to call him like that.

He sounds extremely unprofessional to be talking like that at work. And a completely misogynistic dick. I’d distance myself from him and not have any non work chat with him again.

What a twat.
My work colleague was pretty disrespectful about his wife - I called him out on it a few times!

Well done for calling him out. What a prick! It does sound unprofessional of him too.
