It's great isn't it?! Well... it's shit obviously but WOW. Seven months down the line I weigh less than I did in my late 20s, I'm back in skinny jeans and the best part is nobody other than one person on here knows the hell I've been through so I'm getting all the "you look amazing" without the tilted head sympathy. Almost 2 stone gone. Goodbye fat thighs hello knees and fuck me who'd have thought I'd once again have only one chin! Come on guys - how much did you lot lose during this?

I think it's the increased metabolism and adrenaline from the stress and sadness. And the feeling of having a lump in your stomach which makes you less hungry.

Don't throw your clothes away - it will go back on sadly.

Three stone when marriage ended. Couldn't eat, couldn't keep still.

Seventeen pounds in a fortnight when a (married) man unexpectedly declared his love for me. Sometimes I think he should come back and do it again!

The terminally I'll parent diet was pretty effective, too.

Hi all, first time poster (but long time lurker) here,
I was so glad to find thus thread as it’s full of so much hope that I need to cling onto right now...
hope you don’t mind me sharing my own experience to the thread. Following the departure of dh, leaving me with two darling daughters, I have lost 2stone and 5lbs since May ‘21; I follow Nutracheck calorie app and it seems to be working well for me, so far! Still got several stones to go but bloody hell, I can actually buy clothes in high street shops and can actually look in the mirror without seeing something hideous looking back. It can only be positive for my girls too as I’m way more active with them since he left. I know everyone’s experiences are different but I felt I needed to add thus as a form of record that I can look back on too.
Sending virtual (((hugs))) to all those who are in the heartbreak boat, lots of love 💐 C. xxx

I lost loads of weight when things didn't work out with a male friend after a few dates. The stupid thing was that I wasn't really attracted to him but we got on so well that I missed him.

I lost 10kg, I was 56kg went down to 46kg, so it wasn't good really. Then all the 'omg are you ill', 'go eat a burger' comments started. If. I could have, I would have.

If anyone asked me (and many did) how much weight I'd lost, I'd say 100kg, most of it husband.

6 years on I have got back to a healthier weight, but when I look back at some photos I did look a bit ill I admit.

I put a lot of focus into working out and bootcamp and that sort of thing, as I found it good for the mind. I do need to make a bit of an effort again as it did help.

This shows how sick our society can be . Someone told me how wonderful I looked when in reality I was dying inside from mental stress and lack of nourishment . All they see is the outside.
