If your DP arrived at your house Saturday lunchtime, had a nice day, went for lunch in the garden with family on Sunday for about 4 hours, then for a walk then declared they were bored after being back at your house for about 2 hours (by now 7pm and boiling hot), would you think they're bored of you or bored or like a child?!

If it’s a one off I would just say bored in general. If it happened all the time I would take it personally. Regardless it was rude to say that even if he felt that way.
