Welcome @Firefox7. I think that the best way to get started is to just jump in and ask your questions.

Welcome and hello. Expect diverse opinions, some unkindness and lots of kindness. It's a good place to be

Hello & Welcome. Expect a few LTB's as well. 🙂

Good luck!

As a heads up on how it works.

You post and people reply.

Unlike many forums there are no "like" buttons, so every post is equally weighted and shown only in the timeline it was posted.

There are quite a few acronyms that you can look up from the main menu but key ones are DH (dear husband), DP (dear partner sometimes dear parents), DD (daughter), PIL (parents in law), STBX (soon to be Ex partner or husband) and of course LTB (leave the bastard).

Be prepared for some robust responses. It's generally a place of tough love rather than meaningless "aww hun" platitudes.

That's not to say people are unkind, but rather especially in the Relationships forum many have "been there" and wished people had been more constructive and realistic about their situation rather than faux sympathetic.

Hope that helps!
