Long distance / Not in reg. Contact. Advice pls.

Have been messaging for most of this year and dating last couple of months and agreed exclusive. We message daily. However, there's been a lag/miss communication a couple of times already. Then haven't heard from him for the last week! Messaged to ask if ok and if changed mind to just say. Replied saying has been I'll and didn't feel had to message daily, more when needed to (though previously was daily). It's long distance, hence all the messaging to keep in contact. See each other at weekends. He has made an effort in this short space of time, booked a weekend away. Brings flowers/a gift. I feel it's losing interest, complacency! Which in such a short amount of time feels too soon! On the info. given, am I just being led along or am I being too over the top with expecting communication?

I don’t have much advice but I’ve have slowed down on messaging when I’m dating someone and it usually means I’ve lost interest. If I really like someone even when I’m deathly ill I can manage to at least send a short text or two every day. But of course everyone is different, that has been my experience with the roles reversed.

I can understand your worry not hearing from him for a week, even with illness I'm sure he still had use of his fingers to type, maybe the real reason was some doubts or felt you were uninterested. It's good to see he's arranged a weekend away with you, maybe you can get him to open up about any worries he may have and see how it goes after the trip away.
