Getting over someone

There is a man that I really like, so much. I thought he liked me too. However today I realised that it was pretty much one sided, and I need to start the process of moving on and stop thinking about him all the time. ( this has been going on for well over a year now)
So, I'm trying to be positive but it's hard. Please does anyone have any tips on how it's possible to move on and forget about him? At the moment I worry that this is something I just have to live with,I really have strong feelings for him Sad

What happened to make it clear it was one sided?
It’s really painful OP but it does get easier. Do you have to see this person regularly? Obviously it’s better if you don’t.
Remind yourself you don’t have to be a victim to your feelings and try to focus on doing things that you find engaging as a distraction.
The pain won’t last forever 💐

To be one-sided and take a year to realise it, is an odd situation to find yourself in. Has he been messing with you and giving false hope, or do you have a vivid imagination?
Whatever the reason, best way to move on is to keep yourself busy with other things in life.

Thank you for your replies. Yes he has given me definite signals and been flirty, but also blows hot and cold. I don't think he's actually bothered about me the way I feel about him. I do bump into him every now and again but can try and avoid him quite easily.
