Abusive ExH, restraining order, please help me wipe ipad

My exH has taken over my children's ipads which I own and which stay in my house.

He has linked himself to the children's icloud accounts, changed pws and set up 2 factor authentication.

In the time I managed to wipe my son's ipad and set up a brand new icloud account etc, he changed my daughter's pw remotely.

I need to wipe my daughter's ipad ASAP but it asks for pw to do so!! Help!!

Do you have proof of purchase? If so call Apple and they can help/blacklist

forthispurposeonly · 19/06/2021 19:29

Yes I do. OK that is really helpful thank you

Could you not report this to the police btw?
Surely attempted invasion of your privacy this way breaches the restraining order? Either way, its bloody creepy.

forthispurposeonly · 19/06/2021 19:40

They are not interested in the slightest...

I'd shut the iPad down and buy a new one.

HollowTalk · 19/06/2021 19:52

Restore to factory settings?

forthispurposeonly · 19/06/2021 20:21

This is a new one...

You can't restore factory settings without the pw, that's the problem.

He has breached his restraining order by doing this, the police have to do something about it.

Delete literally every single thing off it and speak to Apple about it.

The police have said he has not. He is restrained from my road and from contacting me etc. They said the children are his too, he has PR, and he can change whatever passwords he wants as they are linked to the icloud account and not the ipad itself physically. They were v v clear this is not a breach.

Are they not technically your iPads though?

If there is a pin or pw on the iPad there is not much you can really do with the device.
If you have access to a Mac or PC with iTunes installed I think you do a factory reset.

Obviously you can setup a iCloud account, not sure if you could link the iPad as it will already be linked to one🤔

If you have proof of purchase can you take them to the apple store and ask the techies there to help
