So my husband and I have been talking a lot lately and we’ve decided we want to attend an event at a swingers club. We found one we like the look of in a city about an hour away from where we live

We’ve never done anything like it before but we talk about it a lot and think it’s something we would be really enjoy.

We spoken about mutual ground rules, we wouldn’t have sex or physical contact with others. It’s just the environment and scene that makes us excited,

Has anyone got any tips? What would I wear? Do you get dressed up in a nice dress with nice underwear or a kinda slutty sexy outfit?

I'd highly recommend joining Killing Kittens. It's a lovely community of sexually liberated people where the women take the lead. There are chat groups, online classes on everything from tantra and BDSM to jealousy and self esteem, and infamous sex parties! Absolutely no pressure to do anything, and you can learn so much from more experienced people. I've met some friends for life on there.

You can create a couple account but are able to post individual messages in the chats. I'd suggest starting in the Kurious and Couples chat groups first.

KK parties are usually an opportunity to dress up. Guys in suits or tux, women in cocktail dresses with nice lingerie. There are cloakrooms to change. Absolutely no phones. Masks are worn for the first couple of hours. People often mingle and chat for a time before play starts. No single guys allowed and men must remain in the rough proximity of their female companion, they're not allowed to wander off alone.

Different formats of party. Kabaret is a good party for newbies. Dinner and a burlesque show so, even if you don't play, it's a nice night out. Hedonism is held at a spa sauna so people get naked more quickly. Mansion is very glam. Drinks, dancing, huge beds. Kreatures of the Night is a new party so we'll see... I have my outfit ready...!

Any decent swinging club will have very clear rules around consent. You don't touch anyone without permission. There should also be "hosts" who you can report any concerns to.

Would suggest you make a night out of it, get pampered and dressed up, and just go along and see. People will usually be happy to talk about the lifestyle and answer your questions if you explain that you're new.
