So lots of us are jumping back on the apps now that some restrictions are over, please share your stories and give us some hope. Which app did you use and how long have you been together?

Going out on second date tonight with a guy who finally has me excited and is showing same enthusiasm back 😁

Tinder. My partner is the first person I met from online dating. Been together 4 years with a 2 year old DS.

We bought a house a few weeks ago.

Life is good!

But took 3 months of rubbish dates before I met him

Should say met on Elite. Tinder was fun but they weren't for keeps

I'd been on apps for over 3 years and had just been on a date with DP's friend coincidentally (who turned out to be married!😡). DP joined tinder and I snapped him up within 24 hours. That was nearly 6 years ago 😍

POF 2013. 8 years together, 6 married. Kids, house, blissful .

Met on match. Been together coming up to a year. Never been happier and he is amazing with my 3 year old who adores him

Met my husband on Match nearly 9 years ago. Have been married for 3 years. Had to sift through a lot of dross before I got to him though.

Ours was a second time around - both divorced and early 40's when we met.

Met my fiance on tinder in August 2018. Love at first sight. I had met about 8 men from various sites before hand but this one clicked from his 2nd or 3rd message.

Met on tinder in 2015, just had a baby together this year. I kissed a few frogs first (plus nice men who weren’t quite right for me!) but I was his first online date! He was only on the app for a total of 2 weeks. It just felt right and easy from the beginning.

Mid forties, middle of a divorce, tried out tinder for just a change of company.

Met a few people, noone nasty but noone i remotely clicked with.

And then DP. From the first message he was so polite and interested in me. We messaged for a week without him asking to meet up, i decided that even if it didn't work out i would love to be friends with him.

I asked him for a coffee, we chatted non stop for 3 hrs... Arranged the next date straight away and still together 8 months later and very soppy and both in it for the long haul, despite both being on tinder for just a bit of fun.

He is such a gentle, lovely, caring, funny person. I think pre divorce I wouldn't have been interested in him (or would have messed things up) but i have done a lot of work on myself and am a different person these days.

The cliché : you find someone when you're not really looking - was true for me (possibly helps so i wasn't stressed out or putting myself under pressure).

Met on Match 10 years ago when we were both 38. Married and have a wonderful DC. Met some dodgy ones first though- including a married police officer I was probably on there for about 18 months before I met my DP.

We met on plenty of fish, now been together 5 years with a house and daughter together I didn't expect to find anything long lasting online but it all depends on the person and how you click at the end of the day!

Tinder in 2019. We live together now and life is great. His profile was useless (could barely tell what he looked like) but his first message was a little creative and that's the only reason he got a reply. We clicked instantly.

I had many dates on Bumble and Tinder over the years, some nice but also plenty of disappointments. I was constantly deleting and redownloading the apps. Not even sure why I kept going, but really glad I did!

Tinder, together 2yrs, live together, all good.

Went through a couple of other men via apps first, all i met were nice and respectful, just no spark.

Met DP through a fb dating group just over 5 years ago, our wedding is in 4 weeks!

Decided I’d had enough of all the apps so ended them all, two days left to run on Match and I got chatting to someone, gave him my number after 2 days messaging non stop and turns out we knew each other 30 years ago (he even came to my wedding! Totally bizarre!).

Been seeing him nearly a year now and he’s the kindest, nicest man I’ve ever met.

Online dating is a numbers game but sometimes those numbers just work! Good luck!
