Hi, just wondering if anyone else suffers from anxiety when it comes to socialising.
I have anxiety when it comes to interacting with others and I know some of that has been caused my experiencing violence from care givers and partners and growing up in rough areas were aggression and being tough is the norm. However I'm sure there's something else going on as I also find socialising in normal settings very anxiety inducing. Staff rooms, dinner parties etc give me acute anxiety which leads to self loathing. I sometimes wonder if I have high functioning autism because i often find myself "stimming" in the form of rocking which once I realise I'm doing it immediately stop so as to try and appear normal. Just wondering if anyone can relate and what they may have done to help them deal with these situations leading up to, during and the aftermath of shame. Thanks♥️
