Random bleeding on noriday

Hi everyone, was just wondering if there's anyone who's been in a similar situation to me. I've been on Noriday mini pill for about 10 months now and have started bleeding recently, it went on for just over a week, took 3 days off, then restarted again and is still going on now. I can't take the combined pill due to migraines and desogestrel/cerazette didn't work for me. I had no breakthrough bleeding when starting noriday and this is the first time I've bled in months so I don't know whether to be concerned. The first bleed was moderate and had cramps too, but since starting again it's been very light, mostly brown blood but still with cramps. I'm unsure whether to call the doctor or just say it's breakthrough bleeding. I haven't come across anyone else on this same pill so wondering if anyone can give advice - running out of options with contraceptives as don't want the coil and can't take many others due to oestrogen!

Thanks in advance x

Breakthrough bleeding on progesterone-only pills is common, and Noriday is a very 'mini' mini-pill, so it may be that - but I'd still suggest you have a chat with your GP or sexual health clinic for advice, so they can take a more detailed history and check you don't need further investigation. Good luck.

Have you had a vaccine recently? There's a menstrual disruption side effect

I received my second vaccine 5 weeks ago and the bleeding started about 3 weeks after it, so not sure if they’re linked? Had no problems after my first vaccine!

I was on noriday for several years and had this very occasionally. Once I thought about it a bit more it did seem like there were other period-y type symptoms around the same time, eg bloating or increased appetite in the days before it happened. I started to think about them as mini periods and then it made more sense (didn't have periods on noriday apart from this)
I read up on it at the time and it seemed to be quite common, if that's any reassurance. Obv speak to your GP if you're worried.
