You meet a nice guy, get on we'll have a laugh and lots in common. However he refers to sex as doing 'rude' stuff. A saucy selfie and it's 'you're a rude girl' and when we meet he can't wait to 'be rude' with me

It's got no future has it?

OP posts:
TheCanyon · 03/06/2021 19:39

Oh I couldn't.

AndeanMountainCat · 03/06/2021 19:40

Is he 12?

HollowTalk · 03/06/2021 19:42

Never, ever, ever.

lostitall · 03/06/2021 19:50

Ha ha ha that's the thing honestly
No he is in his 50s and widowed and think he's had a very sheltered sex life. We get on famously but when he comes out with that I think of a schoolboy looking at the bra section of his mams Kay's catalogue

OP posts:
Nietzschethehiker · 03/06/2021 19:54

Oh lord no. I'd be off like a shot. At least it wouldn't be like the speed of light that would occur if I heard the phrase "Bumping uglies " blergh.

PurpleRainDancer · 03/06/2021 22:34

Grim

Iamthewombat · 03/06/2021 22:37

If he uses the word ‘nookie’, you can be doubly sure that there is no future to this relationship.

Apart from being a terrible euphemism, it conjures up images of that bloody bear with the ventriloquist.

whatisthisinhere · 03/06/2021 22:38

Perhaps you could subtlety replace the word. So when he says rude, repeat the sentence with another word.

Craftycorvid · 03/06/2021 23:03

I’dreply with ‘oh you have no idea if you think THAT was rude! 😈’

Iamthewombat · 03/06/2021 23:12

I don’t think I could get over the idea of him looking at the Miss Mary of Sweden ‘foundation garments’ in his mum’s Kay’s Catalogue and saying to himself, “ooh, that’s quite rude”.

beachlife18 · 03/06/2021 23:14

Give the guy a chance 😂

ILoveShula · 03/06/2021 23:39

He's a secret sex people

HooverPhobic · 03/06/2021 23:41

I'll be honest, OP.
"Saucy" is a billion times worse.
Sorry.
There are no words that aren't cringey in one way or another.

bookworm20 · 04/06/2021 11:50

If that's his only flaw then I'd just look past it. Its annoying, but hardly the worst thing on the planet. There are so few actual nice decent men out there, if you have one of those but he just uses the word rude every now and then I'd hang on to him and just try and bring up eventually to him perhaps not using the word rude so much.

Nonmaquillee · 04/06/2021 11:53

Yuck. I’d give him a miss.

Yellowhighheels · 04/06/2021 12:20

Oh nooooo. Reminds me of how I've known several men use the word 'nakey' in bed. Makes me puke.

If he's otherwise a good un, can you have a go at addressing this one head on with a smile, maybe he can say 'sexy' instead of 'rude'? Good luck!

Beeeeeeeeeeeeeep · 04/06/2021 12:21

You could just say upfront that sex isn't rude and he needs to stop calling it that but equally you could not bother Grin
Ew

copperpotsalot · 04/06/2021 12:25

Sounds like you have the ick. There's not much coming back from that

mumjustmum · 04/06/2021 12:28

I've got the ick

Gilda152 · 04/06/2021 12:28

I'd give him a chance tbh. Some of the people who seems most repressed and coy are the ones who are red hot in bed in my experience

Lockeddown88 · 04/06/2021 12:30

I’m not a fan but I don’t think it’s a deal breaker if the sex life is good. Hang in there long enough that you can have a laugh and tell him to stop using the word without embarrassing him Smile

eatitgood · 04/06/2021 12:35

I wouldn't do rude stuff with him even with someone else's vagina.

VeganVeal · 04/06/2021 13:02

Nippy, Nippy

Nicolastuffedone · 04/06/2021 13:22
