Is this worth doing?

I am in a rut.

I need to distinguish between shockingly poor mental health on my part and an occasional emotionally abusive husband.

Please can someone give me some advice.

I feel on the edge of a breakdown

Yes absolutely worth doing...

If you can't get to a meeting (not sure if they are currently running) you can access it online...

Yes very but you have to fully engage with it abs be honest with yourself x

@FuddySob The people there are lovely, the facilitators are great.

I imagine they might start to run real-world meetings soon, but they're doing a lot of groups on Zoom and I still found it really helpful.

Made a good friend through there.

But if you feel like you're on the edge of a breakdown, you need to also see/go back to your GP or consultant.

You don't need to distinguish between poor MH and abuse- both can be true. And any abuse isn't going to be helping your mental health.

I thought I was more barking than ever while I was seeing my ex. I do have a mental health disability but he was making it a lot worse than it would otherwise've been, which I didn't realize.

It can be subtle stuff like subtle put-downs or backhanded compliments, making you feel insecure and frightened of being abandoned etc etc, all sorts of things they do which you might not even be consciouusly fully registering can take a toll on your mental health.

I currently attend online meetings and they are brilliant. You've got nothing to lose by trying some sessions out since it's free. Good luck op
