First date- he wants to give me a foot massage- weird? I refused

Ok I am probably being naive but swiped right on an ok profile with smiley pictures. On his profile he says he gives fantastic foot massages- great! But is that a signal for something? He also says he does not like vanilla on a profile.
We exchanged numbers and had a ok phone chat yesterday. He called again today and we arranged a coffee and walk type thing. However he did say he had a request and could he give me a foot massage when we met? I laughed and no and it was a bit weird to request that during our first meeting and inappropriate. I did not want get my foot out to a stranger. He said let’s leave it and hung up.
He is weird isn’t he? Or I should have picked up the clues?

Is this my ex-husband by any chance? He did do a great massage I have to say, (including feet) but he was a bit free with offering it out to all and sundry. Some people loved it but most didn't and found it intrusive. My family aren't natural huggers and his manner definitely did not go down well.

So funny. Well you live and you learn. What he wrote was sort of the equivalent of a man writing 'I like naughty girls' and listing 'antique whips' as one of his interests.
