Had four really good dates with a guy I met (not through OLD in case that's relevant). He seemed very keen and enthusiastic, including for a few days after the most recent date. He's mentioned a few times that he was keen for me to stay over, but I didn't.

I realised about three days after the last time I saw him that communication was diminishing, until he ignored my message and rejected my call.

I finally got a terse message that the communication wasn't working, he apologised for any upset but didn't want any unnecesary drama and thought this was a good sign that we should leave it.

Sounds like he was playing nice in exchange for a quick booty call. When he didn't get it, he's behaving like an entitled arse so you'd give in or he'd move on to someone else for his 'needs'.,.

Better you found out now than shagged him and then got dumped or ghosted. At least he told you. He sounds like a little boy taking his bat and ball home.

Agree with others. He got annoyed and petty because you had firm boundaries and didn't leap into bed with him. Good job, well done give yourself a pat on the back and DO NOT start doubting yourself. The problem is all his.
