just found a condom (wrapped) in the laundry...which can only have come from dh's shirt pocket (?) and seems a bit odd as I have a coil. It's never even occurred to me before this moment to wonder if he'd be unfaithful (he's out at the moment visiting a sick friend at hospital...) - and now I don't know whether to be more freaked that at some level I don't entirely trust him, or the fact that I can't work out how the condom got there in the first place...?

...... you need to think about what you're going to do / say when he gets home......

eeeew. pd

Fireflytoo · 09/11/2007 21:55

I would confront him with great humour...but be prepared for any answer...

Doone · 09/11/2007 21:56

hmm no with 2 under 3 we have a HIGH turnover of laundry in our house - nothing in that basket has been there over 4 days! A complete mystery. Like I say, part of what freaked me was the fact that I even thought about it - as opposed to just saying 'how did that make it's way in there'...a kind of...loss of innocence? (sounds ridiculous I know)

I am not surprised you are freaked, my heart would be pounding. Have you any other reason to be suspicious?

Will your DH be home late? Too late to talk to him about it or wait until tomorrow morning (but then your 2 kids are about).

Bezi · 09/11/2007 22:02

I think we can all have doubts in the the back of are minds no matter how much you trust someone, I'd be a bit freaked too!

Doone · 09/11/2007 22:03

He is a great husband and wonderful father to our children, so maybe it's just an 'it's all too good to be true' angst moment and I'm reading in things that aren't there. I can't at the heart of me believe he'd actually be unfaithful - just seems contrary to everything he's about.

Well, he'll be home soon. Sure there's a perfectly innocent explanation - would hate him to think I don't trust him

good luck - hope that there is a good explanation

Don't sit on it though. If your relationship is healthy and happy you can laugh about it together. Most likely there is a perfectly sane reason for it.

Found a pair of french knickers on floor of my bf's bedroom a while ago.....and a long dark hair in bed (much longer than mine).. We are laughing about it. I tease him a lot. We still haven't found out where these came from although WE!!! have discussed all sorts of possible and some rather ridiculous ideas. (We are both divorced as a result of partners having affairs)

He he - it's a new looking one - but a part of my mind remembers having seen it before...like we got a load of them free from the GP after last DD?
Having said that my DH is a very thrifty type, so might not go out and buy new ones if there were some kicking about at home thanks for kind vibes though xd

Ahhh...it just occurred to me that I DID strip the beds earlier in a kind of friday frenzy and there COULD have been a condom under the mattress, from before the coil (which has only been there about three months) that got caught up in the sheet and then survived a couple of washes in the machine before I discovered it...panic over. Hmm...now i just need to rationalise the doubt thing. Panic over...Thanks for helping me think it through xd

lol....his daughter has longer hair...they share washing....several younger women ( friend of his dd 18 years old visit and stay over....not in his bed i hope ..but still.. There are many possibilities. So of course they belong to someone else. And he does have wigs in a dressing up box....and don't even start on that one
