First date! I’m 28, never been on a date, I’ve now been asked and agreed to go (it’s in July so covid restrictions should allow🤞🏻) I haven’t seen this guy in person in 13years as he moved 100 miles away and because the event is there I’m travelling to him. I’m just so nervous, please give me your best first date advice😁

What is the date? Meal, drink or something else?

Historytoo · 26/03/2021 17:51

Listen at least as much as you talk. And have fun.

Eckhart · 26/03/2021 17:54

If he likes you, he likes you. If he doesn't like you, he doesn't like you.

There isn't a damn thing you can do about it, and pretending to be/act anything that you're not will just confuse matters. The right person will fall head over heels in love with you when you have spinach in your teeth and a bit of toilet paper stuck to your shoe. They will love you more for it.

Be yourself. It quickly filters out those who aren't interested in the real you. And filtering them out is a good thing, not a bad thing.

Listen as much as you listen. Talk as much as you talk. The conversation will set its own balance. Let it.

Sensible advice from @Eckhart if he's the right man he will like you for you. Don't try and be something you're not, I've learned this the hard way! Try and relax and it sounds like a cliche but just be yourself! Good luck Daffodil

@OldEvilOwl

Don't eat spaghetti bolognese
And especially don't eat very hot & spicy spaghetti bolognese. Worst first date ever.
