I'm 23 years old and ending my 7 year relationship. Its not been good for a couple of years and a clean break is the best thing but I'm so nervous!

We own our own house so have some legal stuff to take care of and we were due to get married and have cancelled the wedding due to covid anyway and had been trying for a baby (quite lucky in didnt happen really!) I just am so scared to start over again, I've been part of a couple my whole adult life and not sure where to go from here.

Any tips or words of wisdom for me please wise mumsnetters?

Hey OP, good for you in deciding to make the break - it can be scary but you sound like you know it’s the right thing to do. Make sure you get all the legal and financial stuff sorted equitably and then you’re good to go.

You have such an exciting time ahead of you - your twenties are really special! It’s a wonderful time to focus on yourself, your career, your friends and family. Think about all the things you’re interested in, from hobbies to places you’d like to go or things you’d like to experience. Enjoy your freedom and all the possibilities you have ahead of you. You’re at the start of a very exciting journey! 🎉

When covid is over go on a working holiday somewhere exciting, have some flings, and live without being tied down by anything sensible like a house or a relationship. You're 23, world is your oyster

You have your whole life ahead of you. Good luck. Things will work out. Thank goodness you didn't commit yourself to this person.
