Feeing complicit in ex’s smear campaign

I was contacted by CPS who I assume are social services this week and from what they said I have a feeling my ex (joint child) has made the complaint against his newly ex, in an attempted to build a case against her for custody of their unborn child.

Ex is very manipulative and selfish and I feel sorry for any woman who gets involved with him, our child has never liked her and I think he is now going to us that as much as possible against her. I told them the truth and that I’ve never had any safeguarding concerns, but I just feel I’ve been dragged into something I want no part of.

Just wanted to off load really as there is no one irl I can talk to.

None of it is your issue. Not your monkeys. Feel relieved to be rid of him. There’s going to have to be drugs/alcohol for them to take a newborn away and give to him. Just stay out of it

@rulerbirds I’d love to stay out of it but the fact that they are now looking into the treatment of our joint child means I am involved 😞

In the UK CPS stands for crown prosecution service. In the US it is child protective services.

Thank you @BioBins that’s made me feel so much better about it Hmm

I think @BioBins makes a good point. If you are UK and CPS is involved it's far more likely the allegations are against him.

Just be honest and tell the truth, as someone else said, not your circus, not your monkeys.

Whocares2021 · 06/03/2021 14:26

@yorksgal no I used the wrong acronym, it was child protection services, they confirmed the complaint was against his ex.

Look at it this way: if you had no concerns about her treatment of your child then your input will be helpful for her, not unhelpful. You might want to tell CPS a bit about what your ex is like as a person.
