If he thinks you’re horrible why would he want to stay with you?

If you’re unhappy then you know you can leave him.

Do you work?

Overlockdown · 05/03/2021 19:08

Yes I work part time @AnneLovesGilbert

What does he mean by disgusting?

pinkyredrose · 05/03/2021 19:17

Get rid. He's a twat.

StephenBelafonte · 05/03/2021 19:18

Do you think he means it? Or do you think he's just saying it to be spiteful because his domestic idyl is coming to an end and he's worried he might have to do his own cleaning/cooking/laundry

Mabelface · 05/03/2021 19:19

He's the disgusting one.

Overlockdown · 05/03/2021 19:20

He means im horrible in wanting to break the family up/ end things when he doesn’t

SilverRoe · 05/03/2021 19:25

Well unfortunately he doesn’t get to choose for you. You have a right to end the relationship, and it sounds like you have plenty of reasons to think life would be better without being with him. It’s not ‘disgusting’ as he puts it, and even if he does feel that way - again, it’s not up to him. Choose the best option for you and your kids.

Porcupineintherough · 05/03/2021 19:35

Well, to be fair, he doesnt have to like the idea. But it's your choice and you dont need his approval.

arethereanyleftatall · 05/03/2021 19:45

No, it's not disgusting to leave a horrible relationship. On the contrary - it's bad to stay in one.

Wanderlusto · 05/03/2021 19:48

A shame tactic.

Now you feel you have to prove to him you have the right to end things and it doesn't make you disgusting because it's fair because of his treatment.

And by doing that you continue dancing like his puppet.

Dont bother trying to reason with him. He knows fine well why you are done with him. He just wants you to focus on proving your choice is justified - rather than actually getting rid of him.

He has broken up the family by being a swine.
And tbf, a swine like him isn't your family anyway.

IamTotoro · 05/03/2021 20:09

Of course you're not disgusting.

If you're not happy in your relationship then you have every right to separate. You don't need his permission. Men seem to think they're still authority figures. They are not.

If you've thought it through and you're sure, then do it op. It's not up to him what you do with your life.

Have you thought about plans for the kids?

Honeyroar · 05/03/2021 20:19

Well I can see why you’d want to leave! Stand firm. You’re definitely allowed to end a relationship if you want.

Overlockdown · 05/03/2021 20:30

Your not disgusting or horrible.
You said he’s lazy and annoying, and he probably can’t be bothered to change his ways. So no point staying.
He knows he’s about to lose you, and he probably can’t deal with change. He’s lashing out to make you feel like the bad one. I’m sure you’ll have better times with the kids too, as you won’t have to deal with him.

Flashblip · 05/03/2021 21:04

I think your very brave for going for what’s best for you and your children be proud of yourself x
