How long to get sorted after separation?

I’ve given my OH 6 weeks to finally sort his shit out or me and the kids are walking. I honestly don’t think he will so I have been doing some research to work out my options.
He has already said that there is no way on earth he is leaving the house. To be fair, he has nowhere else to go and I haven’t got the energy to fight it.
So I have been looking at rentals and have worked out that if I temporarily claim UC (I work part time, looking at going full time ASAP) I can afford a few places but they are all unfurnished. I have enough saved for a deposit, but not much more.

So I don’t really know where to start. Do you take on an empty place and just move the minimum to start with? Can you get things like washing machines on loan till I can afford one?

I would happily go tomorrow but the kids have begged me to give him one more chance. He hasn’t been unfaithful, just lazy and arrogant and I’m sick of it.

Could someone please give me some context so I know the kinds of things I could be looking into over the next few weeks?

Washing machine/ fridge freezer/ slow cooker (for now)
I think if your getting uc you may be able to apply for a grant for white goods
