How do others manage?

I feel like life is passing me by a bit, I’m a single mum and my ex isn’t involved so my children are with me 24/7, I’ve been single for 4 years and really miss being in a relationship and having company. I can’t ever see myself getting into a relationship again due to my situation. But everywhere I look every other single mum seems to manage it and date again, how do single mums date if they don’t have time away from their kids? (Obviously not now but just thinking about the future) I want a life outside of being just a mum.

That’s not my experience. Most single mums I know have had the same struggles as you. It’s not easy.

Well I’m only going off people I know and they seem to be in relationships very quickly, I don’t know any who have been single years! So just basing it on my own experience irl. But they are ones whose kids are at the dads 50/50 or weekends etc so gives them time to date

As your kids get older, you'll have more opportunities to date and have more of a social life. Try to enjoy this time just you and the children, they're not small long.
