And to be clear, I've stayed with "I love you, but" people before like because never realised it's possible to be with someone compatible where "but" isn't required on either side. Took me til 30 to realise that though!

I loved a guy when I was younger, he was my first love and it was intense. BUT he was a drug dealer. And I just couldn't imagine stAying with a guy with such little morals and prospects. We split up over 20 years ago and I still wonder what if.
