she contacted me through facebook yesterday and told me her mum is very ill.

this friend was my best friend all through priamry school and when we started secondary school we stopped speaking (argument involving another girl)
anyway, i haven't spoken to her in over 10 years and she gave me her number yesterday t o give to my mum to call her mum.

i want to call my friend to say hello as too much time has passed.

But i dont know what to say

please help. Was going to ring her now. Will she even want to speak to me? This is the first time since 10 years ago i have had a phone number for her so this is my first opportunity

She wouldn't have contacted you if she didn#t want to be in touch with her, call and tell her you're sorry to hear about her mother and take it from there.

Oh stop stressing and just ring the poor girl. she contacted you so ring her and tell her how sorry you are about her mum and ask her how she has been.
