Is now a crap time to be doing OLD?

It seems like the obvious answer is yes, as people can’t always meet up and it’s hard to talk about stuff when you can’t do anything except go for (another) walk...

BUT I suppose the reason I’m asking is I’ve just re-logged onto Match (grim at the best of times to be fair) after a gap of six months, and there are no new men on there at all!! Not even one! Just the same row of faces.

It’s so disheartening, I’ve got to cheer myself up about it. Please tell me it’s just a bad time for online dating and by spring/summer there’ll be a plentiful choice

I'm thinking the same, people that aren't in a rush to newly sign up now are waiting until after lockdown, bad weather and nowhere exciting to go, is there? I'm not even trying right now, my friend is on tinder, gets matches but no one seems that talkative or wanting to meet up much. We can only hope the better weather will bring more positivity.

It’s a really bad time ! Honestly like you say not much to talk about / or to do. You can’t meet up and people are just like meh about everything. Maybe stay on but just don’t expect anything and you never know ?

I've only ever really tried OLD during the last year or so, so I can't compare, but I think the good blokes pair up pretty quickly and move on, the rest are on there permanently.
