I am single. And I am NOT looking for a relationship with anyone. (happily divorced and settled with my kids etc).
However with valentines day coming up I thought i might treat myself to something I would like just for the fun of it.
I thought about ordering myself these (if i am not too late - they are probably sold out!!) because i love chocolate and fancy giving them a try.

What would you order yourself if you could orchestrate your own "valentines" present? (valentines day does not need to dictate it - it is simply happen chance that it might be an excuse to treat yourself (irrespective of your relationship status).

I probably wouldn't get that type of thing but would definitely use it as an excuse to treat myself to something new 😁 why not!?

The first year after my marriage broke up I bought myself a car. Grin very extreme but sure hey... Any year after that I tamed it down but always bought myself something nice. Treat yourself you deserve it

Well I’m a heathen when it comes to chocolate and those are far too posh for me so I’d probably pick up a huge bar of fruit and nut or dairy milk.....

But in terms of presents to myself I think it would be something I wouldn’t usually splash out on -

Something like some really comfy and premium quality lounging set / pjs or an expensive candle, a pair of good quality stylish earrings like little hoops or maybe some new ankle boots.

Basically something I’d get quite a lot of use out of but it’s a bit special and everyone I use it I’ll think hmmmmm I’m so great I love myself! Grin

Def treat yourself OP, you deserve it!

these are really good ideas
I like the idea of (not too spenny) jewellery as if you are picking it you know you will really get something you like.

ditto flowers, although I do love flowers but because they die I somehow feel like they are more frivolous than most things i could buy myself. illogical really as i usually thing my aim in life is to have less "things" (de cluttering etc)

I've got a boyfriend and I'm still going to treat myself OP Grin we can't be together on the day, and he isn't particularly romantic, so I'm treating myself to some chocs (I have tons of dietary issues so best I buy them tbh!) and I'd also love to get myself a ring, but might leave that until the divorce is finalised.

Definitely treat yourself, you're worth it Flowers

Misty

good plan

at first glance it seems v unromantic to buy yourself something on valentines day but actually i think it is a great idea. if you are in a relationship you can share the details of what you bought and if they are a keeper they might make a mental note for future!!

Exactly! I've just baked myself a valentines chocolate cake too Grin

RantyAnty · 08/02/2021 19:10

Flowers and a 1 hour massage.

raskolnikova · 08/02/2021 19:14

Ahhh Valentine's Day, filling the chocolate void between Christmas and Easter.

Bubblebu · 08/02/2021 19:28

it doesn't have to be chocolate.

a 1 hour massage sounds nice but you really do need to have a willing "bubble" member IYSWIM!!
