For those invested in that thread, live and learn! I said to MNHQ weeks ago I thought she was a troll. The signs are always the same - the pushing away and pulling people in, tugging on heart strings. It's horrible to be caught out, especially as so many people empathised and were in the same position. MNJQ pls don't delete as people will be feeling rotten.

Not that surprised tbh. A new text, date, call, butt dial, consternation about a beribboned book etc seemed to pop up just at the right intervals to keep the momentum going. I commented a few times in good faith as I am in a similar position, 30s, dating without much luck.

I think the thread still up said OP had done another one too. The one about getting pregnant from a ONS which seemed to have a different tone, more shrill and less reasoned. Do you reckon OP is a novelist trying out different 'voices' for a character that age and personal circs?! Its a lot of trouble to go to otherwise! Sorry MN, I know it's a TAAT!

Well you had lots of good advice for her that may well help someone else so not a complete waste!

Was the evil best friend one the same too? As that's gone now.
