Can’t believe I’m onto my third thread.

Previous one here

Been packing the car to go to the tip. It’s rammed! Cat has been out for the first time and thankfully returned.

Greatly enjoyed my walks this weekend. Got an 8 miler in yesterday but the best part was coming back, lighting the fire and getting into a hot bath. Had a zoom with friends last night, touch too much red wine, but it was so much fun.

You’re all right re the petition. It doesn’t matter, he’s just jackbooting. Someone asked what I’d put in, sorry but I’m not comfortable sharing that at present, been advised to keep it to myself whilst it’s ongoing.

Geller is, however, incredulous that I’m not willing to carry on sharing Amazon Prime and Music Unlimited.

The weighted blankets have arrived so I’m just about to go sort out the laundry and the girls run. Been enjoying Radio 2’s musical weekend, but I can’t understand how Steve Wright is still on.

Tip run, then they come back. Roast chicken with bread sauce and roast gnocchi and board games this afternoon in front of the fire I think. Sounds like he’s been running them ragged, lots of walks etc which is good as means I don’t need to!

How’s everyone else spending their Sunday?

Tell him to use a fork or a whisk and fuck off

Mix56 · 07/03/2021 09:28

Just ignore, then "I forgot", or "cant find it", or l"eft it behind, you have it", that will get him scrabbling through boxes 😂

Sicario · 07/03/2021 09:28

Twat.

Don’t mention the jasmine!
Newestname001 · 07/03/2021 10:31

🤣🤣🤣 and 🥔 🍴! 🌹

DeciduousPerennial · 07/03/2021 10:44

“I don’t have a masher. When you buy yours, could you pick one up for me at the same time? Thanks.”

RandomMess · 07/03/2021 11:17

"No, I'm too busy."

😂

So more evidence that he can't cope with a 60:40 split.

FannyFlapClap · 07/03/2021 11:59

Maybe you should be kind and offer to go around and mash them for him 🙄 and when you're done then you can mash his face

Makes you wonder how he can manage to work at all since he seems to lack competency in the most basic of tasks and life skills 🤔

Weenurse · 07/03/2021 12:46

Tell him to just use a fork

RandomMess · 07/03/2021 12:58

Shock horror they could have boiled potatoes instead.

You can see how his mind works "I want to do x and everyone else should facilitate that happening" rather than him sort it or change his plans. All about him and what he wants.

1WayOrAnother2 · 07/03/2021 13:40

He really does want you on 'domestic detail' still doesn't he :)

Send pic of a fork ...or a few shots from the old 'Smash' (dried potato) adverts with all the little Marians laughing hysterically at a potato masher.

customwatkins · 07/03/2021 14:19

I'm not sure I've heard of anything as pathetic as a grown man who can't figure out a way to mash potatoes (or buy mash) without the help of his ex wife....I'm embarrassed for him for being so blatantly useless.

maras2 · 07/03/2021 14:28

60p from Tesco.
He's such an eejit.

Giraffey1 · 07/03/2021 17:20

I hope you just said no. Much, much later.

Fromage · 07/03/2021 17:33

Lol lol lol @Sicario

I agree with everyone - telk him to fork off.

You might also suggest that if he lacks the sense and intelligence to sort out a spud twatter on his own, he is poorly placed to take care of a pot plant, let alone his own children, and his inadequacies are his problem to solve, not yours.

Jesus Christ. This is the modern day version of There's A Hole In My Bucket.

There's no masher in my new house, dear Liza, dear Liza.......

StuckInPollyannaMode · 07/03/2021 18:11

I still haven't replied!

Love it @Fromage - fork off

I think that's our next thread title, right there!

Done an 8 mile walk in the sun and just hoofed down a guacamole, spinach and chicken wrap for supper. Red wine is open and I'm contemplating having my second bath of the day.

Did anyone read the article in yesterday's Times magazine by the Glamour editor about the impact of home schooling on women? I read it like a nodding dog.

Also enjoyed the article about how to socialise following the relaxation of lockdown rules - I've gone feral, let alone the kids!

longtompot · 07/03/2021 18:15

I wouldn't reply. I'm sure he's heard of this concept called 'shops' where you can buy things you don't have.

KleineDracheKokosnuss · 07/03/2021 19:24

Send this

Don’t mention the jasmine!
StuckInPollyannaMode · 07/03/2021 20:51

Ahahahahaha

Geller is now messaging local friends trying to get them to lend them a potato masher!!

OP posts:
pointythings · 07/03/2021 20:56

For crying out loud! How hard is it for him to nip out tomorrow and get a masher? Why hasn't he set himself up with Amazon Prime, given he's such a big I-Am? He'd have his masher tomorrow. I know, because I've checked.

If he gave a damn and really wanted good mash, he'd get a ricer, by the way. I couldn't live without mine.

RandomMess · 07/03/2021 20:56

🤦🏼‍♀️

I am so embarrassed on his behalf.

Why the fuck can't he use Amazon, go to the supermarket or just cook something else!!!!

I am utterly cringing.

Sunbird24 · 07/03/2021 21:01

Has one of them reported this fuckwittery back to you Polly? I bet they’ve all read the message with this face Hmm

StuckInPollyannaMode · 07/03/2021 21:12
