Why does he want me to hand feed him!

Hi I just wanted some advice really.I have many friends,male and female.There is one male friend in particular that always wants me to put in his mouth when I ask him to taste something or offer him some food!I didn't think anything of it at first, but find it strange because I don't like anyone putting food in my mouth with their hands.
None of my other friends do this. Should I just put the food down near him next time?I do that anyway but he opens his mouth like he wants me to feed him.I don't want to look rude so what shall I do?
