The relationship between asexuals and bisexuals

Hello folks! I'm doing some research (and hoping to publish an article) on the relationship between asexuals and bisexuals in the 80s and 90s.

From what I've read, it seems like the two communities came under one umbrella then, presumably because a) they both felt the same way about all genders* (whether that was attraction or lack of) and b) because they are both potentially 'invisible' orientations (they might have an opposite-sex partner).

I'm looking to talk to some folks who identify as ace or bi who were around at the time, and I hoped some of you might be willing, or might know someone willing.

Please don't be shy about commenting - I absolutely will not quote anybody without their explicit consent.

*I am aware that the split attraction model doesn't entirely support this point, but I'm generalising to be more concise
