For someone to have an affair with their married work colleague, tear apart 2 families and get promoted despite the bosses knowing what he's done. As the song goes - it's a mans world!!

Last time I looked, 'only fuck your spousee' wasn't a core competency.

My personal life isn't my employer's business, and that's the way it should be for everyone.

EvenMoreFuriousVexation · 26/01/2021 18:59

Businesses make decisions based on what's best for the business. Someone's competency, skills, experience and knowledge for a role is what counts, not who they choose to knock boots with.

On the plus side for his ex, if they have children then he'll be paying more maintenance.

Their personal life has nothing to do with it unfortunately

Have they brought the company into disrepute? Is this your ex who cheated on you that's been promoted? I can see why it doesn't feel fair but it's a seperate issue

SallyAnn32 · 26/01/2021 19:16

My friends ex. He's shit on her from a great height. And technically brought the company into disrepute with their actions (doing it in a closed workplace) but as said above it their good for the company and brings in the profit then who cares!
