Anyone help with some legal advice

Hi, dh has left the marital home and refuses to try to make the marriage work, mortgage in his name tho, we have a 2.5yr dd, can he force me to sell the house, any advice greatly appreciated tia

Am sure someone with more knowledge than me will be along shortly.

According to other threads I've read on MN, your H cannot force you to sell the house. He has to pay the mortgage PLUS maintenance AFAIK.

You can make a legal application for you to stay in the property until dd is 18 whereupon it is then sold and equity split accordingly.

Maybe post on the legal board? Definately get yourself to a solicitor and CAB. Knowledge is power in the situations and they can help tell you your rights and help you claim any Tax Credits or benefits you may be entitled to.
