Walking on Eggshells Around 8year old

We have not had a good day.

DD is 8 and just so relentlessly negative. She hates everything; doesn't want to do anything other than play on iPad/ watch YouTube.

She just moans, constantly.

It's grinding me down. She seems unhappy with life, and I really don't know why.

I have a 7year old DD who is very similar. Argues everything and rebels when I ask her to do school work etc. She seems so unhappy but can't tell me why when asked. I keep reminding myself how awful life is outside right now and how much socialisation they've missed out on. I struggle with understanding and dealing with all the changes - so imagine how hard it must be to process for a 7/8 year old. Also - I think she's worse AFTER screen time!

Thanks, @havecourage8bekind. Problem is, she loves lockdown. She hates going outside, seeing people, having to go to school!
