What do I do

I've been seeing this man for the last 2 months. He is very severely paranoid, about a lot of issues and about me. Questioning everything. Doesn't trust me drinking on my own. Has to know what I am doing 24/7 and I have to prove to him at night I am on my own by sending him pictures of my empty bed. I recently ended this cos it was mentally draining but I am starting to miss him. How do you forget someone you know is no good for you????

Block them and delete their number; think about where it will lead if you were to continue a relationship and how awful it would be. Remind yourself that there are men who will treat you how you deserve.

Well, you could get back with him and be controlled, not allowed to leave the house or have friends ever again, be told what to do, wear, have to ask permission to go out. I can’t understand why you’d want to be with someone like that: is it cos you’re lonely? Believe me, it’s worth waiting for someone who actually treats you properly!

You keep reminding yourself of why you ended things, you don't allow yourself to dwell on the feelings of missing him - you stop, acknowledge the feeling, but don't indulge it and go do something nice for yourself/distracting.

MyCatIsAPsychopath · 16/01/2021 20:37

If he is like this now can you imagine what things will be like further down the line in your relationship with him? He isn’t going to change, even if he says he will. Block him and go no contact with him. Stick to your decision. As the previous person said, there are people out there who will treat you with respect and not like an object which they own. Good luck x

He is a very dangerous man. Block him and just sit your way through it. Trust me, you do not miss him, you're sad you're not in a relationship, that's all. Don't be foolish enough to take him back.

partyatthepalace · 16/01/2021 20:40

You block and delete and take up running or online yoga or cake making or whatever to occupy your time so your mind doesn’t drift to much.

You obviously know it’s a disaster OP so just search for some ideas to keep busy and crack on.

NovemberR · 16/01/2021 20:42

Why on earth would you miss that?

And you barely knew him. Agree with pp that you just sound lonely. But better that than being with a nutter.

Emmelina · 16/01/2021 20:42

If he’s this controlling in just two months, I don’t like to think of where it could go if you take him back.
Block, delete from everything. Take up a new hobby to occupy your mind. Do not take him back!

AnyFucker · 16/01/2021 20:43

Don't be a fucking idiot. Get rid. This man will hurt you physically very soon.

smoothchange · 16/01/2021 20:52

I'm sorry OP but I really struggle to understand people like you. Why on earth would you be missing someone like that Confused

Mummabearofthree · 16/01/2021 20:54

Can you imagine he’d be if you were married? Had a child? Gosh i dread to think. I think you’re just lonely, but surely that’s better than not even being able, as an adult to drink on your own or he’ll throw a fit.

Block him, you’ll be over it soon.
