Section 7 question

Hi all. Shamelessly posting for traffic..
Has anyone ever known an independent social worker to be instructed to do a Section 7? My exp has made a request for an ISW to do the section 7 in place of cafcass and for costs to be split between us. The reason they don't want cafcass involved is because cafcass have major concerns about safeguarding.. Is it possible the judge can order this to happen if i don't agree? Our case is complex domestic violence related. I'm sure you've read other posts of mine..
Just wanted some advice as it's really worrying me. The section 7 absolutely has to be done by cafcass but worrying about this request for an ISW to do it.

The Judge could decide this but it would be unusual. Usually either the Local Authority (social services) do them if they've been I involved, and if not Cafcass do them. In the unlikely event the judge ordered an isw to do the report, you and your solicitor would have a say in who the isw was. Try not to worry.

I've already told my solicitor and barrister i won't agree to an ISW doing it. It has to be cafcass. I won't be paying for it either. We had ISW supervising contact and they were awful and corrupt people if they were involved in doing the section 7 they'd probably recommend DD goes to live with her violent father!! We had local authority involvement in the area we fled from but not in the area we relocated to. If children services did it, it would have to be the area we live in and my ex doesn't know where that is. Just feel scared that they are trying to push cafcass out when cafcass recognise the facts and can see what has happened by the evidence.
