Husband sleep talking

DH and I had a few drinks last night, he drank more then I did. He woke me up during the night sleep talking saying another women's name 5 or 6 times then grabbed and cuddled into me after while still asleep. I don’t know anyone of the name he called out and to my knowledge he doesn’t work with anyone with the name. I haven’t asked him about it yet but how do I play it?! Should I be suspicious?

Maybe ask if he knows someone called X and just see how he reacts. If he's acting weird maybe take a snoop...

justanotherneighinparadise · 01/01/2021 08:10

Is he on social media? Check his friends list.

Sillysandy · 01/01/2021 08:11

Well dreams and subconscious are funny things. It might have been someone he knew in the past and something that happened yesterday triggered a memory. It doesn't mean there is anything sexual in it.

As pp said ask if he knows anyone of that name.

PinkYellowTinsel · 01/01/2021 08:13

I sleep talk and I say absolute nonsense.. I wouldn't take it as any form of a 'confession'.

Frostythesnow · 01/01/2021 08:18

I had a look on his Twitter as that’s the only social media he has. He isn’t following or being followed by anyone with the name. He works in a very male dominated job so doesn’t work with many women. I had a look on his sisters Facebook friends and she is friends with a few people with the name so like @Sillysandy said might be someone he used to know. I’m not overly concerned but was just wondering if I should be!

I wouldn't be- I have very intense dreams about random things and people. I'd be deeply distressed if any of it was true!

barbrahunter · 01/01/2021 08:55

I appreciate that dreams can be about people and events that aren't real, but my Ex started saying another woman's name in his sleep and it turned out he was having an affair. I would do a bit of investigating before confronting him, and see if you can clarify your position.

EmmanuelleMakro · 01/01/2021 08:58

Sleb/actress? What name?

EmmanuelleMakro · 01/01/2021 09:01

You could casually mention that you had new year message today from and when he looks surprised/alarmed/bored or asks ‘whose she?’ may give you a clue. You know, like the Fortune Tellers’ cold-reading to get a person to give them info....

EmmanuelleMakro · 01/01/2021 09:02

Who’s not whose

Frostythesnow · 01/01/2021 10:09

Donna was the name, no celebs/actresses spring to mind!

I dream of Jeremy Clarkson never met the bloke

baileys6904 · 01/01/2021 10:13

Christ, occasionally I dream about sleeping with my ex. In real life I'd prefer to forget I ever did. It's a dream and means nothing

stillfeelingmad · 01/01/2021 10:15

I've had weird sex dreams about people I have absolutely no interest in real life! I would be mortified if my partner heard. It means absolutely nothing just the sub conscious being crazy

Gliblet · 01/01/2021 10:15

I talk in my sleep. I have, variously, woken DH up gibbering on about cats, weasels, tomato sauce, Spain, orcs, Bon Jovi and fuck only knows what else.

I have also had extremely vivid sex dreams about Benedict Cumberbatch (which I get, but obviously is not related to any IRL misbehaviour), but also coworkers (awkward), Jeremy Clarkson (wrong. So wrong), my boss's boss's boss (also very wrong), and Ed Balls (I know some people would, and they're very welcome to him Grin ). I don't know what my brain is trying to get out of its system but none of it relates in any way to anything I've done or would actually do if given the chance.

Dreams are your sub conscious trying to make sense of your thoughts and feelings. If you regularly dream about your ex you will have unresolved issues in that area.
maras2 · 01/01/2021 10:23

I recently dreamt that I shagged Lawrence Fox Envy not envy.
I then sleep said to my lovely DH of 50 years 'Get to fuck you racist misogynistic piece of shit Lawrence' Blush.
Weird shit happens in the Land of Nod.
Mind you, I'd still trawl his FB and email.Wink

baileys6904 · 01/01/2021 10:56

@justanotherneighinparadise what a Load of tosh! 🤣🤣🤣 I regularly dream about world war 2 as well but pretty sure I'm resolved in my feelings with that too.
I am a person that dreams multiple times a night. Sometimes they make sense, sometimes they don't but when you have that many, your brain has to throw some random ideas in place
