Why is my type 'tory'?

I come from a very normal family. Both my parents are teachers. Worked hard at school and ended up going to a very prestigious university, followed my a grad job in Investment Banking.

Now I've decided after one long term bf, and a few short flings, to try and find another partner. Why is it though, that my 'type' always seems to be 'tory' or rich. Like without even considering financial situations, the guys I am attracted to are the type who go skiing/went to boarding school etc. Can anyone explain this? Am I just a secret gold digger?

What's the problem? You like what you like.

Alonelonelyloner · 30/12/2020 08:09

I've never met a Tory in the wild. I've seen them at a distance at uni. I do know someone who shagged George Osborne.
I know it happens but I don't know why.
I think you can get help OP.
Maybe it's a reaction to leftie woke bros? God knows they make my skin crawl and seem to be everywhere.

KaptainKaveman · 30/12/2020 08:16

It's hard to fathom isn't it OP? I mean even Jacob RM has been shagged {shock], six whole times we know this because he twattishly named his 6th child Sixtus

If you really want to meet a different type of man OP you need to change career paths. I recommend the following:

Mining
Stevedoring
Street cleaning
House cleaning
Anything in Islington/Hackney/Camden/Haringey caaancel

That sort of thing.

HTH.

I accidentally married a Tory Grin
I just don’t tell him when it’s time to vote

RickOShay · 30/12/2020 08:59

He’s pretty vague so I get away with it

Glitterinthegrey · 30/12/2020 09:17

I married a Tory! He has very educated, reasoned views. They happen not to be the same as mine, but we've managed to be together for a good number of years accepting that we have different political views.

Think yourself lucky, I too have had a good education, family, career etc etc but I only seem to date broke, near homeless men 🤷🏽‍♀️😂
