Where did you meet your partner?

Looking for inspiration on where I might meet my soulmate in a post covid world. If you didn't meet your partner online, tell me where you met them!

I'm mid 30s with young DC, v outdoorsy and active. Climbing wall is full of people in their 20s, I do see nice looking guys out running but I look sweaty and gross when I run so wouldn't dare approach them, been thinking about joining the gym but imagine I'd look sweaty there too. School run is inappropriate and work is 95% women. Can't think of anywhere else I used to go except the odd night out when I'm focused on having fun with friends. I took a language class and everyone was younger than me. I joined a samba band, same problem there.

Is it my age? Where are all the men in their 30s?!

Married in 1990.

In Bangkok. I took a 'year off life to focus on me'. I got on a plane alone at 21, flew to thailand to work as a teacher. I met him on day one. I knew by day 2 I would marry him. That was 8 years and 2 kids ago.

Plenty of Fish four years ago. He's 3 years younger than me. I was a single mum. We're now married and have a 3 year old child.

Was (is) a good friend of my brother plus we worked at the same place (different areas though).

In the sauna at the gym 😂 DH said he’d seen me around and liked the look of me but I can’t say I’d noticed him before 🙈.

I met my last husband at a friends barbeque.
I had been single for 10 years or so bringing up my son so never met anyone so I joined the pagan federation, started going to all their events locally and made some friends.
The day of the barbeque I didn't feel like going and my car broke down, but nonetheless I decided I had to start going out to everything I was invited to so I went.
Met my then husband there and got married two years later.
First husband I met at a nurses party. When we were student nurses we had a disco every week I used to go to and he was there. Got married two years later.
Happily single now but if you want to meet someone you have to get out, join things and take up invites.
I've never used dating sites.

Pub.

Boring but we met at work. Dh was tall, kinda heavy and very heavy metal. Not my type at all. We got talking when I noticed a game related tattoo on his arm. I was world ranked at the time for that particular game series and we just hit it off. We started dating a month after we met and married 2 days ago

At work. He sat behind me. Thought I was funny and liked my hair. I was going through an awful divorce and thought my life had ended. My XH told me no one would ever love me, I was fat, ugly and sad apparently. 20 years later and we're still together (only just) and XH is still a single, aggressive alcoholic.

As for guys not fancying sweaty women, affairs and relays are rife at our local gym so some people must find it a turn on.

My 3 friends who have all just recently split with their husbands are having fantastic relationships. One with a friend of mines brother, one with an old school friend and one is getting shagged left right and centre by multiple men she meets on the internet.

There is hope it seems.

I've done old for 3 years and it's been awful so I'm taking a break from it!
Joining the gym, park run and a local community group are my new year's resolutions I think.
I like the idea of Pokemon go and the pagan federation 😂

Same as @WTAF - playing Pokémon Go! There's a group of local players where I live who have become friends and that's how I met him (and we're now a lot more than friends!).
