Hi all, New to this but not sure if I am looking into things too much. Some unbiased advise appreciated. Found this note in our home office in my husbands work diary. Went on with for a few weeks but its not sitting well with me and keeps popping into my mind. Looks like just doodling as such and Its says ' made my world matter' and I can't make out the name but it's not mine. He is friendly with a lady in work with four letters and her name begins with T. Am I over reacting

That writing looks female.

HiyaCathyy · 11/12/2020 15:42

Something must have been setting off your worries before this? As I scribble random quotes akin work pads etc like this sometimes in the phone. Is he mentioning her a lot or is there something else?

seensome · 11/12/2020 15:45

I think you could be over reacting, with the female in your mind causing your fears.

It doesn't particularly look like a romantic note, could be anything, a book title, an inspirational quote etc that has been written down for him to remember.

Titsinknicks · 11/12/2020 15:48

What does it say. Too small on app

jessstan1 · 11/12/2020 15:49

That's what I thought. You could ask him, surely?
Needsadvice197 · 11/12/2020 15:53

Honestly I’ve got a habit of writing like this, quite messy (on purpose) and saying absolutely random things lol. I don’t know why but I’ve done it for as long as I can remember! Sometimes it’ll be random lyrics to a song, or a made up name etc 😂

PlanDeRaccordement · 11/12/2020 15:53

Many people have been struggling with depression due to the lockdowns and Covid impacts on work life. Could your husband be fighting this? Or perhaps if he supervises, one of his direct reports? And have written that as a count his blessings reminder to say to them or for himself?

Needsadvice197 · 11/12/2020 15:55

Does his name start with a j?

Opentooffers · 11/12/2020 15:58

Looks like Jane to me, but he's got fairy illegible handwriting. Don't think it's enough to read anything overall.

Cocomarine · 11/12/2020 16:04

That says “matter”?!
The m is quite unlike the other two m in the line, and that’s double f not double t.

I think the place to start is - why do you feel the need to go through his work diary?

Rainbowshine · 11/12/2020 16:10

It could be a quote from a leadership communication- it’s the sort of nonsense our CEO says in town halls. As an example “I want each of you to consider how you can make my world better today blah blah etc”

Mangermaid · 11/12/2020 16:11

Looks like Jill to me. It seems like you have some insecurity about your relationship, possibly?

RxCx · 11/12/2020 16:16

I can understand why something like this would play on your mind, but I don't think this is anything to worry about. It sounds more like a quote from something rather than it being directed at someone. Does he work from home a lot just now due to the circumstances? If he does, would he realise you would see it? If it was something more I am sure he wouldn't have left it there by chance you saw it. Maybe just have a chat to him about it. X

OhCaptain · 11/12/2020 16:18

Is it definitely his writing? It looks quite feminine to me.

PlanDeRaccordement · 11/12/2020 16:22

I think this is a good possibility. We’ve had Covid safe, keep your spirits up pep talks while WFH from my management and they say cheesy inspirational quotes like this all the time.
TillyTopper · 11/12/2020 16:23

If this plays on your mind then I'd say you've more to worry about then a little note on his book.

Frankly it could be anything at all! It could be random. It could be a potential strapline for a marketing campaign. It could be a quote from someone for completely innocent reasons. If the note is the only thing making you worry then I'd say you are over-thinking.

Anniissa · 11/12/2020 16:26

I’m not sure it says what you think it says - the fourth word definitely doesn’t look like ‘matter’ to me and the last looks more like jam to me. However, presumably there is something making you question what he’s writing in his work diary which seems the bigger question.

londongirl12 · 11/12/2020 16:31

I think you just need to ask him

OhCaptain · 11/12/2020 16:33

It looks more like hotter than matter to me.

Titsinknicks · 11/12/2020 16:47

'made my world matter jon'?

Krazynights34 · 11/12/2020 16:56

It looks like it says “make my world chatter free”.
That’s a “ch” at the start of the word you think says matter, OP

Aprilx · 11/12/2020 17:04

I don’t think it says “made my world matter” as the m at the start of matter is nothing like the other ms used. I think the final word start with a J not a T.

pooopypants · 11/12/2020 17:05

Is there a back story OP? Why not just ask him?

IndieTara · 11/12/2020 17:27

The name looks like Julie

redcuppy · 11/12/2020 17:29

Looks like a scribble trying to remember something e.g. a song...

Looks like Jaci which could be a reference to the song, jaci velasquez - made my world.
