Odd Experience OLD

Tinder. Matched with a reasonably attractive man and after some initial chat, swapped numbers on whatsapp.

Then came the questions. It was like a job interview. What star sign was I, what exactly was my job, right duwn to the suecifuc role, how long had I been in Tinder, did I meet many men from to der (none!), what were my best and worst qualities, was I a good cook and did I enjoy it. Wouldn't a swer any questions himself (I asked if he enjoyed sport, to which I got a terse "Yes of course I participate in sports". I tried to make normal conversation, what did he think of the lockdown rules for example, but he was not to be diverted from his questions!

I hesitated too long (15 minutes) in answering the one about my best and worst qualities and received what I presume was a warning from him ("If you mind answering my questions, then good luck to you".

I messaged him back a bit later to tell him it wasn't going to happen and blocked him.
Oh, and he had said he was widowed, but then claimed his fiance had died.

Has anyone ever encountered anything like that before? Is nearly every man on there either insane or sex crazed?

I agree Nelia someone of only 37 who calls themselves a widower and then remembers they only had a fiance is a bit sus! It was all a bit formulaic... I think I annoyed him by asking my own questions!

It was a fair few years ago, I was divorced and met a guy on a dating site. We chatted and he seemed OK. I personally used to like to meet them quite quickly, it was better than chatting for weeks and then not 'click'
Well we arranged to meet outside a pub. I pulled up and spotted him by the entrance. He was holding something in his hands. I was thinking 'Oh God I hope he's not brought a gift like chocolates". I walked towards him, and as I approached he held up a clipboard, he'd got another one in his hand too. He said "Off you go inside Lisa the others are inside I'm just waiting for another lady, and then I'll be in". I was so taken aback, I was a bit shocked and I just seemed in a trance and it really was surreal. I took the clipboard and went inside there were 5 women sat in a booth around a big road table. As I got inside they obviously spotted my clipboard, they invited me over.
As we sat at the table we started chatting about the clipboards, they had 7 A4 pieces of paper with a long list of questions, some grammar questions and 5 mathematical questions and then some personal questions. We were all in stitches with laughter. Well when the lady lady arrived, she came in and he followed her in, he was rubbing his hands. The late arrival looked bemused.
He said "Right if you hand me your clipboards I'll go through the contents, and let the lucky one of you ladies know who I have chosen"
He got the shock of his life when we all handed him the clipboards back with no questions answered. The look on his face was comical when we told him we were not interested. One lady told him to "Bugger off". He picked up his coat and put his clipboards in a shopping bag ( It looked like his Mum's) All of us ladies stayed in the pub and had a great night. I'm still really good friends with two of them 😂
