Hi, bit of a wierd one.

I've received 49 emails from pof since yesterday. With matches, inboxes etc. I have NEVER signed up to this website.

I have tried to change the password but it wants a verification code from a mobile number that isn't mine.

Is this a scam?

Is anyone a paid up member that could search the username I've been signed up to?

Tearing my hair out here 🤣

Thats good going because even POF is quiet now!
Something weird is happening. Although when my account went to Amnerica, POF werent any help.
Block the emails?

mrsseddon · 08/11/2020 00:36

The emails go into my spam, it's not that that's bothering me I want to see what I've been signed up to. Wondering if my ex is trying to sabatage my new relationship :-/

I don't think many people have 'Premium' to enable a name search. Your best bet is to set up a fake account with no photo and trawl through all the females with your credentials.

You could google "plentyoffish" "username" to see if a profile in that name [and photo] is up on the site but obviously you wouldn't be able to go into the profile without being logged in.

Sounds like a scam op. Like they want you to click a link so they can access your data. Be careful. Click on the email sender to see who it is really from. It may not be actually from POF. If it is, it maybe just that someone has joined & entered their email address (which is very like yours) incorrectly. I've experienced that.

The emails are from pof.com

I have Google searched the username and pof, similar username profiles show up but not this one.

Signed up to have a look but couldn't find anything either.

I haven't had any emails since yesterday so I'm thinking that when I tried to change the password it sent a text to the person, who has since deleted the profile.

Very odd though!
