I spoke to DH about him being untidy this evening. He keeps leaving his shoes in a messy pile infront of the shoe storage unit instead of in it. This is just one of the grotesquely lazy and untidy things he does.
He piped up
"well, who has left those wellies there INFRONT of it?"
"Ermm... our children who are 5 and 2... you are 40 years of age."

Did he actually just complain that his two young children are getting away with being untidy and he isn't?!

And this is one of the many reasons I Will eventually leave this waste of space!

I wouldnt call just not putting his shoes away "grotesquely lazy and untidy." There must be more to it if you are thinking of leaving him and calling him a waste of space.

As said upthread "this is just one" of the grotesquely lazy things he does, so as you rightly point out, there is more to this.
And after years of lazy behaviour, I can assure you that it does start to feel "grotesque."

Just end it.
You're probably just making eachother miserable at this point.
