At what age did you 'settle' down with kids? Marriage?

I am a single parent to my 5 yr old DD, been with my on / off current partner for over a year.

I've just turned 31 and I am just starting out in my career which I absolutely adore and have worked hard to get in the position that I am in right now, I just have a few nightly issues.

My partner doesnt want any more children he has 2 and is older. I am quite happy just me and my little girl and enjoying our time together and also progressing up my career ladder would mean babies are out the picture for another couple of years atleast!

I am just concerned that lifes passing me by ad I'm past the age of having a family, because ultimately in the future I do want to have that family unit. I think turning 31 recently has just made me think in a lot more detail about my future. Especially because current on/off partner is against having babies.

What ages did you meet your partners and have your families?

I thought that too. "Partner" and "on/off" are an oxymoron

If you crave a family unit and are in an on/off relationship with a man doesn’t want more kids then it’s probably time to end it. You sound like you have everything going well in other ways. Get rid and find someone with the same life goals

@LilyWater we split up a couple of months ago and now were just taking it slow to see what happens.

Met -18, Married- 21, Kids 23, 25, 27. He's 2 years older.

Met DH at 22, engaged at 24, married at (just) 25, started trying for a baby at 25, 26 now, but I’ll be at least 27 before I actually have a baby... fingers crossed for clomid!
He’s a couple of older than me.

We met when I was 18 and he was 22, got married at 22 and 26, bought our first house a few months later and our first baby is due this month and we re 25 and 29 now.
