Stalking Instagram Stories

Right so a girl who I went to college with nearly always views my Instagram Stories and has been doing so far at least a year, possible two. The thing is, neither of us follow each other yet she’s always checking up on my posts?

For reference, we weren’t that friendly (she was a bit of a bitch) and we literally haven’t spoke in about five years. So tonight, I followed her to see if she would follow back and she hasn’t lol. Ladies, do you think this is a bit odd? Has anyone experienced anything similar?

How do you know she follows your stories? Maybe she hasn't been on Instagram since you followed her.

Why do you care? lots of people look up random people they use to know

I know because her name appears in my watch list almost always when I post. Like I said, she doesn’t follow me and I don’t follow her.

Sort the privacy settings on your account.

Lock it and make it private.

Not fan of people like that. I had that problem (yes it can be a problem because i know it can make you feel on edge a little) but then I deleted these followers and made my profile private. If you want a private life and if it bothers you got private.

If you don't like it don't make it public.
She might be a bit odd. She might just like your content. Which is the point of IG, to enjoy others content. It's not meant to be private or semi private like many other forms of social media.

Also instead of playing games (like adding her because you think her behaviours weird) you can always just block people. Block and delete can be so liberating.

Social media nowadays has become a stalkers paradise. She's either nosy (and clearly finds what you post interesting) or perhaps fancies you? She clearly must not realise you can tell she watches your posts! If it's creeping you out, you should make your account private.

My friend used to check another womans instagram story every day.

The woman in question did the same hobby as us and was quite passive aggressive and a 'mean girl' type character. No idea why my friend checked her story daily lol but she mentioned something about it and I had to tell her that the other woman would be able to see her doing it. She was mortified!

It's not necessarily odd as in there is more to it or it's a weird sinister stalker kind of thing so I wouldn't worry about it!

Yes, your scenario is odd and the fact she hasn’t accepted your request suggests she doesn’t want to be friendly with you, and that her curiosity is probably not kind. So block her. Why give her a window into your life? Or go private altogether. Why do any randoms need to see what you’re up to?

Bloody hell fire. Get a grip, how can you give this any mental energy? The life was sapped from me by just reading your post.
